Description
EDGE seeks a dedicated, driven Web Producer/Staff Writer to manage our growing network of GLBT portals. Primary responsibilities will be writing a number of short stories per day, manage the editorial flow of the network, and lead the execution of key online initiatives that will engage our audiences, helping to make EDGE the pre-eminent brand for gay news and entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Write 3-5 short news blurbs per day
- Manage editorial flow across the network
- Prep daily and weekly e-newsletters
- Enforce editorial workflow for online stories
- Conceptualize new editorial initiatives
- Help prioritize the network's product roadmap
- Assist in customer support
Requirements
- Digital or print media experience
- News/entertainment writing skills
- Graphics experience, e.g. Photoshop (or ability to learn)
- Domain knowledge of the LGBT community
- Proven organizational skills
- Resilient and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment
- Adaptable and able to get things done with limited resources
- Thrives working in a fast paced environment with deadlines
