Lady Gaga makes her triumphant return to worldwide touring, and where better to celebrate her return than in Florida? After having to cancel three Florida tour dates in March 2013 due to a hip injury, the singer is back and ready to resume traveling the globe. As if to ensure she hasn’t forgotten us down here, the very first engagement on her new tour, artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball, will be held here in Florida, at the BB&T Center in Sunrise. If you have your tickets in hand, remember that the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4! Opening for Lady Gaga is Lady Starlight.

As if she needs any sort of introduction, New York native Lady Gaga (born Stefani Germanotta) has been one of the hottest names in pop music ever since the release of her first album, "The Fame," in August 2008. The album resulted in two #1 singles, "Just Dance" (featuring Colby O’Donis) and "Poker Face." The extended play that followed the next year, "The Fame Monster," spawned an impressive five Top 10 singles. Throughout 2009 and 2010, everyone partied to the gold- and platinum-certified singles "LoveGame," "Paparazzi," "Bad Romance," "Telephone" (featuring BeyoncĂ©) and "Alejandro."

Her long-awaited second album, "Born This Way," was released in 2011 and the title single from the album reached the top of the pop charts. This album was a success as well, producing three more Top 10 singles, "Judas," "The Edge of Glory" and "You and I." Her most recent Top 10 single, "Applause," was a track off her current album "ARTPOP." Over 2.3 million copies of "ARTPOP" have been sold worldwide since its release nearly six months ago. The single "G.U.Y." was just released to top 40 radio airplay on April 8.

Lady Gaga’s Touring History

Before artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball, Lady Gaga has participated in three tours before: The Fame Ball Tour (2009), The Monster Ball Tour (2009-11), and the Born This Way Ball (2012-13). These three tours have grossed over $400 million in worldwide ticket sales. Last year, tour dates in Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Miami were canceled due to Gaga’s hip injury. This will be the first time Lady Gaga has performed in Florida since The Monster Ball Tour in April 2011.

What to Expect at the Concert

For this tour, Lady Gaga envisioned a stage that would allow her to interact with all members of the floor audience. In previous tours, she was unable to move around and could only perform to one area of an arena, and she insisted on having a setup that would allow her to move around and be social. A catwalk setup was designed, which forks into two separate runways after a certain length, allowing her to walk around as she likes. The audience will be able to dance under these lucite runways, and under Gaga as well, as she sings. The main stage is designed with "Atlantica" from the movie The Little Mermaid in mind. After revealing the stage design, Lady Gaga wrote on her twitter, "You’ve brought me back to life. Hope you like the stage!"

While the set list for artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball has not been released yet, and it may not be known until people hear it for themselves at the BB&T Center, Lady Gaga did perform a special 12-song set at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City earlier this month. Watch out for these songs as they will surely make appearances in the official ARTPOP Ball set list: "Born This Way," "Black Jesus + Amen Fashion," "Monster," "Bad Romance," "Sexxx Dreams," "Dope," "You and I," "Just Dance," "Poker Face," "Artpop," "Applause" and "G.U.Y."
