With 2010 little more than a footnote in the history books, the only thing that anyone can remember about the end of the first decade of the new millennium was where they were to ring in 2011. This season, there seemed to be no end to extraordinary events and parties that were a must to attend. In every major city, in every time zone partygoers kept spilling the bubbly, singing Auld Lang Syne and making new memories, but for superstar DJ Tracy Young, one party, one city, in one time-zone just wasn’t enough. This new year Tracy Young took us for a spin.

The determined Ms. Young has indelible plans in mind for 2011, so it’s no shock-and-awe that she should start the new year with not one, but two appearances at two major parties across the USA...displaying the grace under fire that only this remarkable artist can muster!

First Stop: Mansion, Miami

Starting things right, the Mistress of the Mix-Table took over Miami’s Mansion at the 8th Anniversary of Genesis. "I think it was the best year ever," Tracy commented. "The energy was over the top!  The attendance was record breaking and the crowd was the hottest ever!" Her musical journey at Mansion took her and partygoers for an incredible 12 hours -- not a bad way to start the new year!

And just the first stop for the jet-setting, Young in 2011. "Then I was off to Vegas for another event which was just as spectacular but in a different way." Where Young fit in the time to catch some rest we’ll never know, but as enthusiastic as ever and with that charmingly hypnotic smile, the lady at the city of the nightlife universe left quite an impression on Sin City.

And they say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas...we think not!

Stop #2: Jet Nightclub, Vegas

Marking the incredible debut of Vegas’ Sundanze at The Mirage, the undeniably biggest dance artist of 2010 Kelly Rowland was joined by Young at Eduardo Cordova’s premiere event at Jet Nightclub. With Tracy at the helm of the DJ booth, and Rowland performing her chart hits "When Love Takes Over" and "Commander" the promoter is promising that this recurring, once-a-month event, taking place on a Sunday will "re-define gay nightlife" in Vegas. Sundanze is off to an impressive start. With exclusive stellar live acts, Cordova will be incorporating special, elaborate acts from as far as Ibiza.

Of the party at Jet, Young added, "The crowd was just as hot!  And I loved the space & staff at Jet.  It was the best way to bring in the New Year.  I wish I could do it all over again!"

From our perspective, 2011 has just begun and like a pied piper leading her fans where Tracy Young plays, the party is meant to follow. Catch her on Saturday, January 15th at New York City, Splash celebrating MLK Weekend. www.splashbar.com
