Noma has done it again. The restaurant of all restaurants remains on top of the gastronomic world for the third consecutive year.

The biggest Pride festival in Scandinavia, Stockholm Pride 2011 celebrated "Openness" with an exuberant parade and a three-night party marked by a surfeit of extraordinary specimens from a city long heralded for its stunning beauty.

A culinary revolution has swept Europe’s frigid north, where a smorgasbord of innovative chefs are challenging the image of Norse food as bland and limited to a narrow range of specialties such as meatballs or lutefisk, a jelly-like seafood.

There has been same-sex marriage in Sweden since 2009 -and a military integrated with gays since 1976. With a history of acceptance and openness (and more than 100 museums), Stockholm is often considered the LGBT capital of Scandinavia.

Having heard about the fabulous LGBT events being held in Copenhagen this year, EDGE travel editor Jason Salzenstein decided to find out what was attracting the large crowds to this beautiful Danish capital city. He found out that it wasn’t just the promise of hot Vikings. More after the jump...
