RICHMOND, VA - Gay-owned Richmond Virginia bed and breakfast Maury Place at Monument was chosen as a winner in the category Top 25 B&Bs and Inns in the United States by TripAdvisor in its 2012 Travellers’ Choice® awards. The only Virginia bed and breakfast among the top 25, the inn was selected based upon reviews by guests on Trip Advisor, the world’s largest traveler review website.

Opened in the fall of 2008, Maury Place at Monument is a luxury four room bed and breakfast located in Richmond’s Museum District, overlooking Monument Avenue.

Maury Place is walking distance to the Richmond Triangle Players, one of the premier LGBT theaters on the East Coast, as well as popular Richmond attractions such as the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Virginia Historical Society Museum, and the Carytown shopping district. According to innkeeper Jeff Wells, "It is a blessing for us to have such great guests, and we are delighted to be chosen as a Traveler’s Choice for 2012."

Now in its tenth year, the annual TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice awards honor the world’s best hotels and inns, earning their distinction from those who know them best - real travelers. Unlike any other hotel honors, TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice winners are based on millions of valuable reviews and opinions from travelers around the world.
