Florida Governor Charlie Crist told CNN that he would support a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.

Florida Governor Charlie Crist -- who is currently seeking a seat in the United States Senate as an Independent -- told CNN’s Senior White House Correspondent Ed Henry Aug. 29 that he is opposed to legal recognition of same-sex marriage, and believes that a constitutional ban should be in place that overrides states that have legalized marriage equality.

"When it comes to marriage, I think it is a sacred institution, I believe it is between a man and a woman," Crist said, but allowed that he sees "no problem" with unmarried partners living together. "It’s just how I feel," he said.

Charlie Crist is just another self hating closeted gay man. I agree that Lee, and also ban divorce while we’re at it.

Charlie, Charlie, Charlie!! How come you don’t come out of your own closet?! Passing new laws and amendments is not going to stop you from being gay! Accept it and move on. And no vote from me either!!

Charlie Crist only got married recently while Governor. He did this to attempt to hide his gayness. He’s just another self hating hypocrite.

I too thought you were more open minded than that. You have said in at least one ad that I remember that you represented everyone. If you make it, it should not be all about you and your person feelings about marriage. I believe that You should make it possible for those who want to be able to participate in marrige available to them. That should not affect anyone elses beliefs for them selves and as a result should be a win win solution. Be courageous and have a change of heart, and do what is really right as well as gain back the faith of those of us who thought we wanted to vote for you. That issue is you biggest negative.
